Smart Agriculture Technology
Buen Dia Cafe is exploring how practical sensor tools could complement the knowledge of Colombian coffee producers. The goal is to test useful technology with farmers, not replace field experience.
The current concept focuses on collecting a small set of soil observations and turning them into clear, farm-led decisions. Any future pilot results will be documented before we make performance or sustainability claims.
Soil Monitoring
A proposed pilot would observe soil moisture, pH, nutrient indicators, and temperature. Those readings could help participating producers compare field conditions and decide where more direct inspection is useful.
The project is still at the roadmap stage. A credible field trial will require documented locations, baselines, methods, and results before drawing conclusions about quality, yield, or water use.
Future Roadmap
Next steps include defining a small pilot with producer input, selecting appropriate sensors, and deciding how observations should be recorded and reviewed. Weather data and a farmer-facing mobile view remain longer-term possibilities, not released features.
